What is a carbon footprint?

To obtain a solid and credible score in the EcoVadis assessment, you need a well-structured process and properly prepared documentation. Our team supports you at every step, from planning to the final upload of responses and documents.

1

Work meetings and project management

We start by designating a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) from your company and creating a working group from relevant departments (HR, Environment, Procurement, Legal, etc.). We organize regular meetings to ensure project consistency and review sessions for prepared documents.

2

Gap analysis

We review each EcoVadis questionnaire requirement against your documents and practices. We conduct a gap analysis highlighting: what is already implemented (strengths), what is missing (policies, procedures, reports), and what needs improvement.

3

Data collection

We provide clear files and structures for collecting key indicators (e.g., energy consumption, accident rate, recycling percentage). We work alongside your team to centralize data and document the necessary evidence (reports, certificates, training attendance lists).

4

Drafting policies and reports

We help you draft company policies that improve your EcoVadis score while also enhancing internal processes. We can also prepare Sustainability Reports that present KPIs, actions, and targets, covering up to half of the EcoVadis questions.

5

Uploading documents and completing the questionnaire together

We handle the organization and uploading of all your documents onto the EcoVadis platform. We remain available for any questions and perform a full review of the questionnaire before final submission for evaluation.

Why us?

All services included in the budget

The agreed budgeted hours cover consulting, project management, and guidance for implementing the above steps. Our role is to guide, analyze, provide solutions, and finalize the questionnaire.

Additional services on request

If the Gap Analysis reveals the need to create complex policies from scratch or develop training materials, these activities will be treated as separate deliverables. We will provide a specific quote based on complexity and the required involvement from the ECONOS team.

We are flexible

You can use remaining hours from the initial budget to cover the cost of additional policies or trainings. This ensures your company’s investment is fully utilized without hours being “locked” into a single activity.

Transparency

The entire process is conducted with full visibility over the time and resources used, so your team always has clarity and control over the project.

See what our clients say about our EcoVadis guidance:

''
It was the first time we received an EcoVadis request from one of our largest clients - a major retailer - and I admit, I was initially concerned about the costs and the time it would take for our team.
Working with ECONOS was incredibly helpful. In just a few weeks, we achieved a score of 50/100 on our first evaluation, thanks to their clear and effective guidance.

The entire process went smoothly and didn’t disrupt our day-to-day operations. I highly recommend ECONOS to any company going through the EcoVadis process for the first time.''

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions about EcoVadis

What is EcoVadis?

EcoVadis is the world’s largest sustainability assessment platform. It evaluates companies’ performance against ESG criteria and provides an internationally recognized rating, used by thousands of multinationals to select and retain trusted suppliers.

How does the EcoVadis process work?

The process is simple but rigorous: you register your company on the platform, complete a questionnaire tailored to your activity, provide supporting documents and certifications, and EcoVadis experts provide an analysis based on international standards (UN Global Compact, GRI, ISO).

Why is EcoVadis important?

After completing the process, EcoVadis provides a score out of 100, along with: an analysis of strengths and improvement areas, benchmarking against industry peers, simplified procurement processes, and fewer individual audits. In what language can I upload documents to the EcoVadis platform?

EcoVadis accepts multiple languages listed on the official site, but you can also upload documents in Romanian by selecting language: other. These are fully accepted.
